Name
Refers to the abbreviation of a document, given according to the ISAP checklist (in the case of monographs) or the The (Full) Arabic Papyrology Bibliography of Editions and Research (in case of articles). In this compilation you find after each edition the abbreviation in angular brackets, e.g.
- - Anawati, Georges C. and Jomier, Jacques, Un papyrus chrétien en arabe (Egypte, IXe siècle ap. J.-C.), Mélanges Islamologiques 2 (1954) 91-102 [P.AnawatiPapyrusChrétien] APD (UB/EG)
- - Diem, Werner, Arabische Geschäftsbriefe des 10. bis 14. Jahrhunderts aus der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek in Wien, 2 vol. Wiesbaden 1995 (Documenta Arabica Antiqua 1) [P.Vind.Arab. I]
In case the edition is already completely entered into the APD including full text of documents, you will find a green “APD” sign after the abbreviation.
